I should really stop naming my blog posts as "bored". Or rather, with that word in it. But then I can't think of anything else.
Emily, you are still my muse! In fact, we work great as a team. (: This poem is for you, if you hadn't claimed it already-you named it!
Solemn Hour
I stoop to catch your tears
That gathered like puddles around
I know that the pain that sears
Cuts down deeply without a sound
I want to comfort you
And tell you everything's alright
This time let me come to your rescue
From the frigid, smothering night
My heart beats with yours
There are no secrets between
Our blood completes the course
A full cycle that is unseen
I know I couldn't stem the flow
Of the steady sorrow with my power
But against all odds, I'll never go
Remaining with you during this solemn hour.
